Handmade jewellery. Bracelets, necklaces, earrings and accessories like bag charms, key chains and hair clips. Majority of our products are created with semi precious gemstones and glass cabochons.

Our gemstone bracelets.
What markets do you trade at?
Cairns esplanade market and Cairns Handmade Expo.
How did it all begin?
I worked in Community Services for 17 years in varying roles in Disability, Aged care and Youth Worker up until 2012 when I felt a strong desire to focus on ‘what makes me happy’ after feeling extremely burnt out and exhausted – So I started researching making jewellery, as I have always loved doing creative things, even throughout my career.
What do you like most about being a stallholder?
The opportunity to meet other like minded people/stallholders and engage with our community and tourists. As Cairns is a renown tourist destination, the interaction with people from all over the world visiting, makes the markets so vibrant and interesting.It’s a privilege to be able to share in their experience of visiting, for some the first time they have been to Australia and explain what I do and how I do it.
What do you like least about being a stallholder?
The markets on the Esplanade can be unpredictable due to weather, but I think after living in a tropical environment, you prepare for all the variations. So I wouldn’t say I don’t like it, it’s just a factor we need to take into account every market day.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Still creating and with planning and dedication, have our items stocked in other businesses.
What one piece of advice would you give to a new stallholder?
Research and always be open to advice from other stall holders – especially the ones that have been doing it for a living for a long time! They’ve seen it all. Be true to yourself and believe in your products, it will reflect in your interactions with everyone during your time at markets. Keep your stall display interesting and be prepared to change it up to help with sales.
