How did it all begin?
I have always loved candles and ever since I could afford to buy my own, I’ve filled up my life with scented candles, essential oils and pretty well anything that smells good. After spending so much on candles and having to pretty well get a second job to support my “habit” I decided it was time to try and make my own. Since I spend so much of my life running 3 kids around to sports and school and have very little time for me, I thought this would be they perfect hobby to look into. I purchased a starter kit and made my first candle. From that little candle I had so much interest from friends who wanted to buy them, that within a week I had a Facebook page and was selling heaps of candles to friends and their friends/ family. I’ve gone from 1 type of candle jar to lots of different styles, my scents have increased and my range has now grown to include reed diffusers, car diffusers, melts and burners. I’ve attended a few markets with more in the pipeline and have recently opened an Etsy shop and sold my first wholesale order to a boutique in Sydney. Loving what I do and look forward to expanding my business more.
