Onshore Threads

What’s your name?
What is the name of your business?
Onshore Threads
How long have you been trading?
10 Months
What products do you sell?
Surf Clothing (T-Shirts and Headwear mainly)
What sells the best?
What markets do you trade at?
I have previously attended the Feedbox Markets in Scarborough, however I will be trading at the Mega Market Place, OnWilliam Streetside and the Summer X Salt Markets in the coming months!
How did it all begin?
I originally started making tie-dyes when I was in my early teens, which then lead to progressing into screen printing during my second year at uni. I want to create clothes that I want to be wearing. Stuff that is different and cool, rather than some over produced, same old T-Shirt you get at most surf shops.
What do you like most about being a stallholder?
I like being able to meet all the people who are passionate about my brand and seeing people get stoked over things that I’ve created. It really drives me to want to create more, and continue doing what I’m doing. It makes all the hard work worthwhile!
Its also rad to meet other stallholders who are doing cool things in the local scene, and it gives you the opportunity to learn new things and share skills/ products with each other, which I think is rad!
What do you like least about being a stallholder?
The really long and boring days before the market, heat setting all the printed T-Shirts that I’ve printed. I really need to invest in a tunnel dryer!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
I would like to either have been able to travel around Australia, holding Onshore Threads market stalls in other states, or have tried my hand at having some form of retail space, here in Perth.
Other than that, it would be rad to be stocked at a few more shops around Perth and even Australia.
What one piece of advice would you give to a new stallholder?
Make a list of everything you need to bring, and double check the list before you leave!
Do you have a Facebook page you would like us to feature?
Plus any other social media links like Twitter, Pinterest or LinkedIn?
Attach a picture ideally of yourself, your stall or your products.
