Our Party Hire Insurance (Requiring Hire Agreement) policy has you covered

Please note, this policy does not cover any type of inflatables, amusement rides or petting zoos.

If you are unsure whether you fall under this category please contact us.

There is nothing more exciting than celebrating at an event and your customer has chosen you to hire party equipment and set up at the site. As a party Hire company, you may hire anything from tables and chairs to fairy floss machines and lolly buffets. Having Party Hire Insurance is a great way to protect yourself in case something were to happen during the course of your business.

*** This cover is subject to customers having a Hire agreement in place for all goods and equipment hired out.

What could go wrong ?

The following case study is an example of what could go wrong at anytime.

You are engaged by a customer to provide tables, chairs and decorations for a party. A third party sits down on one of the chairs you hired to the event, and the chair leg breaks, causing the third party to suffer injury. Or, you hire out your dance floor but when you set it up, it was not level and caused a third party to slip, fall and brake a leg.

Why do I need Insurance?

Legal costs can add up quickly. When a customer is hiring your equipment, they expect those goods to be maintained, serviced and fit for purpose at their special event or celebration. Human error does happen and the last thing you need is to worry about losing your livelihood if a customer brings a claim against you for loss or damages. Without Insurance,  you’re at risk of losing everything from just one claim.

Our cover includes Public and Products Liability so you can rest assured knowing you have the right cover in place for your business.

Implications of Cancelling your Product Liability OR Professional Indemnity Insurance Policy

Product Liability is an occurrence-based wording. This means, the insurance needs to be in place at the time the incident/injury/damage occurred for there to be a valid claim. Professional Indemnity Insurance is a Claims Made wording. This means an insurance policy needs to be in place at the time you provide the service and at the time of the claim and/or incident in order for your interest to be protected.

If you cancel your insurance today and an incident is notified and/or occurs tomorrow for a product or service you provided last week, you will not be covered. Read more on this here.

We’ve just recently launched our new sister company, AUZi broking. AUZi Broking is the new answer to ‘but’ and aims to be able to provide as many Australians as possible with custom, tailored policies for their specific needs.

AUZi Insurance, for example, is able to cover you if you decide to open a store-front. They cannot, however, cover you for things like glass cover, business interruption, fire etc. These are all things AUZi Broking can assist with. Our broking division can also aid with Home and Contents insurance. Click below to see.
